Can't uninstall  a program in Windows 7
I installed a program and want to uninstall it (because it would not work) but Windows 7 add/remove programs will not give me the uninstall option. I deleted it manually on the drive but the control panel still shows it. Can you please help me remove it completely? It is still in the registry and how can I remove it from there?

ive had this problem before and sometimes it is software related. some security programs for instance cannot be uninstalled externally (most likely to prevent sabotage by malware), meaning you have to run the program and uninstall it from within its bounds. this happened to me with several folder vault programs. i would try reinstalling the software, running it, and looking for an uninstall option within the program itself. if not that, then try run the uninstall executable from the listing on the start menu, although something tells me that would work about as well as the control panel.

If the program doesn't uninstall completely the first time, sometimes running the uninstall program a second time will succeed. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the program while Windows is running in safe mode. If you installed the program recently, you can try using System Restore to return your computer's system files to an earlier date before you installed the program. If the issue persists, you can use third party software such as CCleaner to see if the program can be uninstalled. Please Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability. Also, could you please let us know the program name? It is possible the program manufacturer provides a solution to uninstall it manually. Please name the program that you are trying to uninstall. Here are a couple of steps which you can try: Step 1: You can use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove the program which is causing the issue. http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe Step 2: See if you have any uninstaller for the program from the publisher’s site. If yes, make use of it to remove the program.
